Hi! Thank you so much. I take care of both my parents. Mom has midstage dementia and Dad is her primary caregiver. Dad also has dementia but he denies that he has it. Maria, I deny that I'm a caregiver because I'm not a professional but I'm a daughter and help Mom with dinner every night. Need help with limits and 'permission' to self care. Most recent concern is Dad will leave the house and say Mom is OK as long as she presses her lifeline button but she doesn't remember what that is so safety!
Also, her walker breaks don't work properly, I've mentioned this to Dad and the breaks don't get fixed. It's a connundrum for me because I don't have the 'right' to fix these things.
